Proxmox VE Infrastructure Master Class
Engineering-grade reference manual for Proxmox VE operations across nodes, clusters, storage, networking, virtual machines, containers, snapshots, backups, and read-only health checks.
Overview
Proxmox VE is a practical virtualization platform for homelabs, edge environments, managed client infrastructure, and private automation clusters. Infrastructure operators need repeatable commands for inventory, health, backup verification, and controlled VM/LXC lifecycle work.
Use these commands for evidence-first operations. Treat power, delete, disk, network, and storage mutations as approval-gated production actions.

pvecm statusshows expected quorum.pvesm statusshows storage online and available capacity.qm listandpct listmatch expected inventory.- Critical guests report expected power state.
- Backup jobs exist and recent backup artifacts are present.
- Bridges, routes, and firewall assumptions are documented.
